Modern Indian restaurant

My friend and I came on a Saturday night, and waited an hour until our dosa arrived and that was after asking for it multiple times. When the waitress asked us if we would like our entree and mains separately, this time disparity was not what we had in mind. After our entree, we advised the waitress that we were ready for our mains. Just as she was about to walk away, I asked her if she would like to collect our empty dishes before she left. The waitresses are lacking in common sense and so this is not the place to go for brilliant service or food. The dosa itself was cold, flimsy and tasted plain. The filling, sambhar and chutneys were very flavoursome. This just isn’t a place I’d go back to even if there was no other dosas in Perth.

We checked out The Chatter Boxx last night and it was awesome! So yummy and the service was 10/10. Some of the best Indian food we’ve had in a long time. The goat was melt-in-your-mouth tender and full of flavour, also had butter chicken and naan which were both excellent. Our waiter (owner??) Vick also really made the night; lots of laughs and he took the time to talk us through his favourite dishes and helped us to order when we couldn’t make a decision.Best to book a table as they were pretty busy. Have absolutely earned their great ratings.

Street food menu was a fantastic, well priced way to make a meal more than a bit special. The Pani puri was a great way to begin and the dishes kept coming in a prompt manner. It was a noisy environment, so be aware, but apart from that it was really nice.

Had raita, onion and leek bhaji, palak paneer, banana leaf fish and garlic naan. Not so spicy so I guess it's adjusted to western flavour but all quite yum. Price is on expensive side but worth the money. Will go back again.

We were there Friday, 4 Nov 22 for dinner. Lovely ambience, nice and cosy, but food was ordinary. We ordered dosas - heaps of them on menu. While the Bhaji was great, the Dosa taste was ordinary n it was not crispy. Being from south india, was nothing like a Dosa. We ordered tandoori chicken n it came on a sizzler plate!!??? It was definitely not cooked in a tandoor n tasted nothing like tandoori chicken. The chaat was good. Overall disappointed.

Went here today for Mother’s Day. I honestly never heard of this place but very lucky to stumble into it on the net.Not many Indian restaurants offer a western kids menu. This makes it hard for some parents who want to enjoy Indian dishes but have kids with a very western palate. So I’m really glad that they do this, and that they also do it for lunch.We came a bit earlier than the opening time but the server was more than happy to seat us. He was very attentive to us and hospitality was very nice.Ordered the kid’s pizza which was nice. I felt bad that my kids didn’t finish them but it was more because my kids are extremely picky, nothing wrong with the pizza itself.For me and my wife, we tried the Barramundi & Prawn Goan Curry, the Butter Chicken Taco and the Tandoori Chicken Board.All of them were lovely and fulfilled our Indian dishes cravings.The Butter Chicken inside the taco was delish. The Goan Curry was very addicting, I keep going back for it even if its just with the tumeric rice, just wished there’s more meat in them. The Tandoori Chicken was lovely too, though slightly dry. Pappadums were nice but just a bit oily. Overall though, we were pleased with our dishes.Ordered the bottled beer and they always bring it out with chilled glass. Which was great!Will definitely return for more! Thanks for having us today

We had a saag paneer and a butter chicken (the reviews were good on the butter chicken so had to try). Both were really fresh and tasty dishes. The staff were also super welcoming and attentive. We had takeaway so can’t vouch for the dine in experience but the decor is nice and it was a comfortable place to wait for our food. It was a week night so fairly quiet but hopefully a bit busier dine in on the weekend as it’s a big place. Would be good for a big group dinner.

I had an amazing dining experience at Festival India Indian Restaurant! The food was outstanding - perfectly spiced and full of flavor. The service was also fantastic - the staff were friendly, attentive, and really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine in Australia.

Very happy and very full after the $17 vegetarian thali lunch special.Perfectly cooked basmati rice.The Aloo Gobi Matar was delicious and the South Indian Dal Palak a labour of love and very tasty.Would definitely return to try other dishes.I like the way the full menu features dishes from different regions and states in India.Busy but friendly chef checked all the diners were enjoying their meals.

Walking in the door this restaurant makes you feel special by walking down a red carpet to be seated. The staff are extremely attentive and the service is outstanding.The food was delicious and so very well presented to provide an appetite for the eyes not just for the mouth.The spices and aromas definitely fulfilled our appetite for a traditional Indian experience.A fantastic restaurant that should be experienced - highly recommend.
